The supply, use, storage and disposal of substances hazardous to health in the workplace is covered by The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH). The are also several pieces of legislation allied to COSHH, for example the European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) and the UK REACH Regulation associated with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals and DSEAR.
Our lead consultant has a Chemistry Degree, and lots of real life experience around chemical safety, having worked as an industrial chemist within the chemical industries of the North East and North West of England and as a Safety Manager in the Pharmaceutical industry.
